One of the ways we walk in generosity and seek the Kingdom is giving above and beyond the tithe. Investing in the local church reminds us what truly matters—seeing our community and our city changed with the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ, whose “kingdom will have no end” (Luke 1:33).
“Lord our God, all this wealth that we’ve provided for building a house for your holy name comes from your hand; everything belongs to you” (1 Chronicles 29:16).
Each person should do as he has decided in his heart — not reluctantly
or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make
every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you
need, you may excel in every good work.
